Punto

Privacy policy

Last updated: October 21, 2026

Punto is an app for competing with friends. This page explains what data it keeps, what for, and what you can do about it. No small print.

Who is responsible

Carlos Ochoa, who develops and runs Punto as a private individual. For anything related to your data, write to carloosochoa03@gmail.com.

What data we keep

  • Your account: email, nickname, preferred language and, if you upload one, your profile photo. If you sign up with email, also your password, always encrypted; nobody can read it.
  • If you log in with Google: your Google account identifier, your email and your name. We only use them to log you in. We do not access your mail, your contacts or anything else in your Google account.
  • What you do in the app: the competitions you create or join, the actions and points recorded, your reactions and your votes on disputes.
  • Technical data: cookies needed to keep your session and protect forms. If something breaks, the server may temporarily log technical data about the request so it can be fixed.

What we use it for

Only to make the app work: identifying you, showing your competitions and calculating the rankings. We do not sell it, use it for advertising or build profiles. The legal basis is providing the service you ask for when you create your account (article 6.1.b of the GDPR).

Who can see it

  • The members of your competitions see your nickname, photo, points, reactions and what you record in that competition. Your email is never shown to anyone.
  • IONOS, the company hosting the server, in a data centre in Spain.
  • Google, only if you choose to log in with your Google account. In that case Google’s privacy policy also applies.

How long

For as long as you have an account. You can delete it yourself from your profile, under «Delete my account». When you do, we immediately erase your email, nickname, photo and password. Your points and reactions stay in the competitions anonymously, as «Deleted user», so other people’s rankings still add up. Backups delete themselves after 14 days.

Your rights

You can ask at any time to see your data, correct it, take it with you or delete your account. Write to carloosochoa03@gmail.com from your account’s email and we will reply within a month. You can change your nickname, photo and language yourself from your profile, and delete your account too.

If you think we are not handling your data properly, you can complain to the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD).

Cookies

We only use technical cookies, essential for logging in and for forms to work. We do not use analytics or advertising cookies, which is why we do not show you a cookie banner.

Minimum age

You must be at least 14 years old to create an account.

Changes

If we change anything important in this policy, we will let you know in the app.
